a stirring TED talk by long time activist and techno-optimist Paul Gilding
“It takes a good crisis to get us going. When we feel fear and we fear loss we are capable of quite extraordinary things.”
Feeling fear through clear awareness of what is going on in this world, and turning he feeling of fear into swift and sure action, is Gilding’s intention. He’s probably right about that.
Complacency never led to much, and we know how very much work there is for all of us to do to turn this ship around.
At once frightening and optimistic in a dark kind of way, Paul Gilding’s TED talk on THE GREAT DISRUPTION and the End of Shopping is really important and definitely worth experiencing.
